Warehouse Operative

Location: Cambridge, CB24 4UQ

Salary: £31,000, plus performance related bonus

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We are now recruiting for a Warehouse Assistant to join us on a permanent basis, come and be part of our promises to our customers, help us fulfil them!

About our Warehouse Operative role:

You will be required to help the rest of the warehouse team maintain the smooth running of the operation and ensure that customer demands are met in an effective, efficient and timely manner. You will be expected to lift a large quantity of stock, walk or stand for most of the shift and wear the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).

Operating MHE – Unload/ load vehicles in the yard – Put away palletised stock

In addition to this, you will be responsible for:

  • Moving merchandise from one place to another using manual pallet trucks and MHE.
  • Unloading and loading vehicles, internally and externally.
  • Compliance with relevant Health and Safety standards.
  • Picking and packing goods to a high level of accuracy whilst maintaining our high standards.
  • Performing accurate goods in checks and putting them away.
  • Labelling packaging, products, unpacking and also repacking goods, without damage.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment by performing general housekeeping where necessary.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Previous warehouse experience is advantageous.
  • Good time-keeping and organisational skills.
  • A capable mindset, being able to carry out high-intensity teamwork.
  • Accurate counting abilities and a clear capability of checking different dates and lines on incoming and outgoing products.
  • The ability to follow clear instruction
  • A motivated and hard-working attitude.
  • The ability to work in a warehouse environment, either on your own or as part of a larger team.
  • MHE experience essential – specifically flexi trucks – advantageous.

Working Hours:

Week 1: 08:00 until 16:00 – Monday to Friday

Week 2: 11:00 until 19:00 – Monday to Friday
